A remarkable and preserved site that deserves to be explored meticulously
The coast on both sides of Saint Florent is exceptional in more ways than one, and kayaking is probably the best way to discover exceptional landscapes, fauna and flora. Alternatively you will discover coastal, marine and wetland biodiversity. On one day you can rub shoulders with a dolphin, a Gray Heron, a wild pig, a Cattle Beef heron and many other species depending on the season. In fine weather you can easily land through turquoise waters on a white sandy beach and take a few moments to immerse you in a fragrant Maquis of aromatic plants: Rosemary, Cistus, Lentisques, Immortelles…
In addition, you can approach by sea, either in the direction of the Desert of the Agriates or Cap Corse, some historical buildings which are the witnesses of a singular Corsican culture: Genoese towers, Mortella Tower, Saint Francis convent, port of Centuri, etc.
Awareness of local environment
Corsica and the region of St Florent have such beautiful landscapes and rich biodiversity that it would be a shame not to choose a way to get there in a sustainable way. Kayak is a silent means of transportation that allows the approach of the fauna. Agriates Kayak is able to give you the biodiversity information you would require. A sustainable activity to practice all around the year
If summer months offer some comfort due to the ambient heat, the first months of autumn remain in our opinion the best for those who want to get closer to nature. The sea water remains warm and the temperatures in the day offer maximum comfort for a circuit of a few hours. Winter and spring with their exceptional lights are also a must for photographers. St Florent is active during the months of July and August but the club located on the other side of the bay is quiet and the initiations take place in good conditions offshore from a white-sand beach.
A professional approach
The facilities are basic but serious and well suited. The supervision is provided by certified guides of state. Several guides can ensure group outings of up to at least 25 people. Safety training at sea is provided as well as training to learn how to Eskimo roll a kayak.
